Abstract
The world is facing a major water crisis right now and this issue can escalate even further in future, so it is of utmost importance to use this resource as optimistically as possible right now to conserve this resource in future. Also a developing country like India has many constraints in supplying energy and ample of water to the farmers for irrigation purposes especially in semi-arid regions. Thinking about the abundance of sunlight in India, this paper discusses about the design and development of solar powered Agribot for farm monitoring using IoT that also mechanizes irrigation system. The Agribot is developed using an Arduino microcontroller which is programmed such that it detects obstacles and moves accordingly around the farm and measures the moisture level in the siol using soil moisture sensor which gives a brief prediction about the water needed in that area. The raw data is uploaded in the cloud using IoT for further analysis
