Abstract
An independent hybrid power system consisting of a wind turbine generator and a diesel generator with a Capacitive Energy Storage (CES) unit power system has been investigated as a test system to validate the performance of the proposed Fractional Order Fuzzy PID (FOFPID) controller. The simulation results show the improved efficiency of the proposed Fractional Order Fuzzy PID (FOFPID) controller compared to the traditional PID controller and the Fuzzy Logic Controller. These findings indicate that the proposed controllers give better output over others in terms of set times and many indices.
