Abstract

The year 2020 started with the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which started in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubcei province of China, and affected the whole world. A pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. Restrictive measures based on social distance are taken to prevent the spread of the disease, which is manifested by symptoms such as high fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, weakness and diarrhea. Mass quarantine practices have been effective in many countries to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the rules of residence. However, longterm home stay and accompanying physical inactivation bring risks also that can endanger people's health.As a result of physical inactivity; there are undesirable potential risks of long-term stay at home, such as muscle atrophy, adipose tissue increase and weight gain, lack of vitamin D due to insufficient sunlight exposure, preparing the ground for cardiovascular diseases, suppression of the immune system, loneliness due to social isolation and behavioral disorders.The purpose of this article is to address potential risks that may arise from physical inactivity and discuss.
