Diyabet Tedavisinde Kullanılan Pulsatil İntravenöz İnsülin İnfüzyon Yönteminde Verimin İncelenmesi/Medico-economic Examination of Pulsatile Intravenous Insulin Infusion Method Used in Diabetes Treatment

Aim: This study evaluates the efficacy of treatment of diabetes and metabolic syndrome by Pulsatile Intravenous Insulin Infusion Treatment which came in to effect in recent years, to the patient population in Turkey Material and Methods: 97 people diagnosed with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes were included in the study. The data collection was done by “New Patient Consultation Form” and “Evaluation Questions Form” prepared specifically fort this study. Results: HbA1c values showed, 80.0% decrease between baseline and 14th treatment session. A 68.4% decrease was determined in the 19 patients who participated in all sessions of the study. Changes in the HbA1c values of the patients vary significantly according to the patients' exercise status Discussion and Conclusion: In the light of the findings obtained in the study; Pulsatile Intravenous Insulin Infusion treatment method is thought to be a treatment that can be applied to treat diabetes in real terms by correcting carbohydrate metabolism, to eliminate complications that are a serious burden to the individual and the state, and to prevent the occurrence of new complications.
