Genetik Anomalisi Olmayan Oligodonti ve Mikrodonti Olgusuna Tedavi Yaklaşımı: Olgu Sunumu/Treatment Approach to Oligodontics and Microdontics Without Genetic Anomalies: Case Report

Oligodontia was defined as the germ deficiency of 6 or more permanent teeth, excluding the 3rd molars. Oligodontia may occur due to a syndrome or serious systemic disorder, or it can be seen as isolated without accompanying the clinical picture. There are functional, aesthetic, psychological and developmental problems in oligodontia patients due to the large number of teeth deficiency. Microdontia is a kind of dental anomaly in which teeth appear smaller than normal, which usually causes food retention, malocclusion and aesthetic problems. In this case report, overlay type full prosthesis made to a 12-year-old child with oligodontia and microdontia to restore aesthetics and function was presented.
