LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOUR OF COLLEGE LIBRARIANS’ IN THE CONTEXT OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: A SURVEY OF AMRAVATI DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA

The research paper tries to identify the importance of leadership behaviours. The intention behind the selection of the topic is that in the recent years, technological changes occur and so, the overall functioning of college libraries has changed. There is strong need to learn new management styles and leadership skills. Most of the college librarian accept this challenge and act as good leaders for overall development of their organization. In this research study researcher's aim is to identify leadership role of college librarians in the context of Organizational Development (OD). And the basic purpose of the present study is to study ‘the leadership behaviour of college librarians in Amravati district. In this research paper the comparison of the leadership behaviour of college librarians' in Arts, Commerce and Science colleges in Amravati district was also given.
