Abstract
The year 2020 was a period of learning, reorientation, and a wake-up call. The pandemic disabled organisations shattering capabilities and forcing a rethink. World - wide lockdown and social distancing norms and protocols in place further escalated turbulence for businesses across sectors and segments, which left organisations with no other option but to change the mode and medium of work. Almost all organisations shifted work to online mode. This sudden transition and related complications arising at all levels of physical, temporal and space call for a change in the training routine of organisations. Underlining the need for long-term capability development, this article presents a viewpoint suggesting scholars and practitioners to dwell upon the benefit of re orienting and developing internship programme as a part of long term temporal capability development programme. The utility of which lies in the critical demand of unprecedented times
