Abstract
Banking Industry is considered as backbone of country's economy. Banking industry in India has achieved a new height with the changing times. The use of technology has brought a revolution in the working style of the banks. However, with the changing dynamics of banking business brings new kind of risk exposure. Making a career choice is a defining phase in every student's life. Students have to consider several factors before arriving at a decision. The purpose of this research was to see the factors which affect the choice of career among students. This study investigated the influence of several factors such as percentage, family, peer, degree college counselor, career goals, advertisement and finance on the career decisions of 120 students of Mumbai Universities. Data was collected through a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The results show the percentage, degree college counselors and career goals influence as most significant, followed by influence from family, peers, advertisement and financial.
