Abstract
This article summarizes the results of research in the field of international quality standards used in the medical field. The objectives of the study were to determine the relevance and role of quality standards in medicine, to compile a list of international standards that must be applied in medical institutions to create a safe environment for patients, and to study the modern international standard that is gaining popularity around the world — JCI (Joint Commission International).
