F.M. DOSTOEVSKY’S AUTHOR AND CHARACTERS AS SUBJECTS OF DIALOGUE AND OBJECTS OF POSTMODERN PLAY IN THE MODERN RUSSIAN PROSE

Abstract
One of the most interesting phenomena in the modern literature process is “actualization” of the Russian classic works of literature in sometimes quite unexpected forms – that of remake, sequel, comics, fanfic, “literary project” and other ways of finishing, rewriting, interpretation and transformation of the classics. From our point of view, there is nothing frightful or dangerous for the classics in emergence and popularity of such phenomena. On the contrary, they are rather indicative of its infinite possibilities and uncanny ability to reveal new meanings in historical contexts which could not be foreseen by the great authors.
In the late 20th – early 21st century interesting and serious texts appeared where the dialogue with the classics is represented on the level of reminiscences, intertextual references, direct or indirect quoting, complex philosophical, axiological and aesthetical polylogue with the literary-artistic world of the Russian classic authors – and with themselves as characters. The topicality of our research is determined by an appeal to the works of the greatest Russian writer, who became a symbol of national culture and one of the most recognizable “brands” of the Russian literature in the world – F.M. Dostoevsky in his reception in popular culture (B. Akunin's play project), postmodern aesthetics (V.Pelevin's texts) and anti-postmodern poetic manner (T. Moskvina's prose). The subject matter is the peculiarities of the “Dostoevsky” literary myth's evocation in the modern literary texts – as a character, as a system of images-archetypes and as a system of reminiscences and “rewriting” of a classic storyline (remake). The work objective is to study the forms in which classical texts exist in the mass cultural and postmodern reality of the 21st century Russian literature
