DESCRIPTIONS INDUCEMENT OF ABBREVIATION GROUP “AUTO”

The proposed work deals with the description of formation of actual equivalency cluster of compound abbreviation. The purpose of the article is to determine the system of decryption inducements in equivalency clusters belonging to the abbreviation group “auto”. Research methods: distributive analysis, formalization, quantitative analysis. The author declares the necessity of distinction of diachronic and synchronic approaches to identification of abbreviations: the first one suggests the determination of actual derivative source of a word while the second one is intended to identify the system of actual derivative text equivalents. The origin of the last ones is conditioned by the effect of so called decryption inducements – the stereotypes of decryption of abbreviation constructs and abbreviations. The work provides the list of basic models of decryption inducements, and further it specifies the way these decryption inducements are realized in equivalency clusters of abbreviation group “auto”. The results of the research can be used for compilation of decryption matrixes of equivalency clusters as well as for creation of patterns for processes of abbreviation material selection for the Dictionary of compound abbreviations
