Since we are interested in the semantics and symbolism of nominator «two», so in this article we analyses the definite and indefinite-quantitative numeral. The aim of the study is a semantic and linguistic and cultural analysis of phraseological units and the identification of national features in the interpretation of the number semantics in Russian and English language pictures of the world. The national color of the internal form of the units of each of the observed languages identifies certain features of the mentality and national character of the language personality.
