ESSENCE AND FACTORS OF THE FORMATION OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL OF ENTERPRISES

Ensuring the long-term and efficient operation of enterprises in a dynamic environment requires the formation of their proper potential of economic development and the ability to fully realize this potential. However, the formation of the economic development potential of enterprises is a hard task, as the process of such formation is influenced by many factors, some of which are interrelated. In this regard, the purpose of the study was to establish the essence of the economic development potential of enterprises and to identify and group the factors shaping this potential. It was found that the potential of the economic development of the enterprise is a set of additional external functional properties that the company can gain in a certain state of its environment while increasing the value of its existing economic potential. The model of the formation of the economic development potential of the enterprise is constructed. It includes the following main stages: improvement of information maintenance of administrative activity at the enterprise; enhancement of the resource management processes; optimization of the quality and volume of resources; improvement of the key functional properties of the enterprise. The pyramid of the factors of the formation of the economic development potential of the enterprise containing six levels is offered. The basic level of this pyramid is occupied by management competencies, software, and databases necessary for the development, adoption, and implementation of management decisions at the enterprise. The factors of the formation of the economic development potential of the enterprises were grouped by such features as location, the character of influence on the realization of the economic development potential of the enterprise, the possibility of management, change (invariability) during a certain period, the characteristics of interrelations between the indicators of the activity of the enterprise, place in the hierarchy, evaluation method, etc. The use of the proposed classification of factors shaping the potential of the economic development of enterprises in their activities will allow identifying additional reserves to ensure the economic development of these enterprises.
