Abstract

The article describes a new tool of sociological research of virtual social networks – automated sys- tems for monitoring Internet media, presents their capabilities and some technical characteristics, and provides examples of their application in research practice. The authors emphasize the effectiveness of Internet media monitoring systems as a means of obtaining and primary analysis of sociological information about virtual social networks
