COOPERATION OF UKRAINE WITH EUROPEAN AND EURO-ATLANTIC STRUCTURES: ORGANIZATIONAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS

The article is devoted to the study of organizational and legal aspects of development of cooperation of Ukraine with European and Euro-Atlantic security structures. Ascertained, that the important task of the state in ensuring national security is to integrate Ukraine into the European security, legal space, to become a member of the EU and NATO, to develop equal mutually beneficial relations with other states. Specified, that Ukraine assumes that the development and strengthening of the EU and NATO deepens pan-European and international security in all its dimensions and calls for appropriate democratic transformations of national security institutions. It is stated that the European and Euro-Atlantic security structures include NATO, the UN, the EU, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Council of Europe, the Western European Union, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the European Bank and others. The study focuses on the areas of NATO-Ukraine cooperation in the security dimension. The program of Ukraine's participation in the EU's Eastern Partnership initiatives has been opened. The program envisages progress in the fight against organized crime, illegal arms trafficking, cybercrime, terrorism, as well as participation in EU Common Security and Defense Policy operations, units and training initiatives. Reasoned, that Ukraine is developing areas of Euro-Atlantic cooperation in the security sector by implementing the Partnership for Peace, the NATO-Ukraine Special Partnership Charter, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and implementing the annual National Cooperation Programs under the auspices of the NATO Commission. The integration of Ukraine into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is essential for ensuring the national security of our country, especially in the current situation in the east of Ukraine.
