Abstract
The article describes various aspects of international cooperation of states in solving global environmental problems; issues of legal regulation of the environmental situation in the world, the introduction of appropriate means to ensure environmental safety at different levels and the implementation of measures to reduce the negative impact of man on nature. Institutional component is the first aspect of international cooperation that is, the creation of common international institutions by states, such as the UN, Council of Europe, the EU, whose activities, in particular, are aimed at resolving the environmental problems in the respective territories, which depends on the level of activity of such organizations. The creation of funds and the implementation of certain measures to achieve this goal is also an important point here. Legal regulation of the activities of states in the process of solving these problems is another aspect of such activities. That is, there should be legal acts which take into account best practices and determine methods, means and measures for solving environmental problems at the international level and the level of an individual state. Ukraine is a sovereign, legal and independent state, independently determines its foreign and domestic policies by the only legislative body; is a member of many international organizations; ratifies and implements international legal norms in national legislation, which is consistent with its international obligations to improve the environmental situation in the country. Therefore, this article also analyzes the problems that arise because of the adopted international legal acts implementation and the issues of implementing these acts in the legislation of Ukraine.
