WAYS TO APPLY NATIONAL LEGISLATION ON CERTIFICATION OF WHEELS TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS

The article analyzes the European experience of legal regulation of certification of wheeled vehicles from the standpoint of the possibility and expediency of its use in the process of improvement of national legislation in this field. The legislation of the countries of the European Union is analyzed, its common features and features are revealed. A comprehensive study of the system and features of national and European legislation on the certification of wheeled vehicles has made it possible to formulate proposals on the use of EU experience in this field to improve national legal regulation of certification, which, in the authors' opinion, will positively influence the further development of the certification system in Ukraine and will contribute to the improvement of road safety and the operation of road transport. Conclusions have been drawn on the approximation of national legislation on the certification of wheeled vehicles to European standards regarding: identification of the types of certification system in Ukraine and the EU; introduction of a single certification system for wheeled vehicles in Ukraine and the EU; application of a single regulatory framework for certification in different countries; recognition of certificates of conformity for cars manufactured in Ukraine and EU countries without carrying out additional stages of the certification procedure; statutory consolidation of mandatory certification for wheeled vehicles in Ukraine.
