Abstract
Heat Assisted Drilling Machine (HADM) is a new technique to drill hard, brittle and ceramic materials. This system is hybrid of conventional and non-conventional manufacturing processes, In which conventional radial drilling machine were used and non-conventional heating source used. Heat source decreases the hardness and brittleness of material by thermally softening phenomenon. Ti6Al4V has been used as the working material in this research. HSS M42 has been used as the tool material for drilling operation. It has been demonstrated that HADM process can improves the material removal rate and surface finish.
