Indian mutual fund industry is in development period over several years. In this research paper calculated risk of selected Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds. In this study selected Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds schemes. Taken 10 Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds Regular Plan for the study. The risk of selected Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds calculated with help of Standard Deviation and Average Return. The average of average annual return of Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds is 12.22% for the selected mutual funds. The average annual return is highest 15.07% Nippon India Small Cap Fund Growth Small Cap Fund and average annual return is lowest 8.58% for Sundaram Small Cap Fund Growth Small Cap Fund The average standard deviation is 27.69 for Small Cap Equity Mutual Funds. The standard deviation is highest 33.98 for HSBC Small Cap Equity Fund Growth Small Cap Fund and standard deviation is lowest 18.02 for Axis Small Cap Fund Growth Small Cap Fund for the period 2016-2020. The above study indication that standard deviation is highest 33.98 for HSBC Small Cap Equity Fund Growth Small Cap Fund so it is very high risky Small Cap Equity Mutual Fund. Standard deviation is lowest 18.02 for Axis Small Cap Fund Growth Small Cap Fund so it is low risk Small Cap Equity Mutual Fund.
