SOLAR BASED AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION TECHNOLOGY

Nowadays, farmers face many problems in irrigating their crops. This can be solved using the ‘Solar Powered Irrigation Management Technology'. In this paper, with the help of soil sensors like moisture sensor and pH sensor, the moisture content of the soil is measured and correspondingly the motor is turned on or off. Here, solar power is used to run the motor. The status of the field is sent as message to the farmer's mobile using the GSM Communication technique.
