Abstract
Committed human resources are organization's greatest assets. In order to ensure excellent and experienced academic staff always attached with the educational institutions. Committed employee should receive superior attention. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between job involvement, and perceived organizational support towards organizational commitment among academicians. The universe of the study 1000 women faculties working in 20 engineering colleges in Trichy region of Anna university. Out of the universe a sample unit of 250 women faculties taken up for the study the sample unit is chosen on stratified proportionate sampling method. Correlation and Regression was used in this study. From the study, the researcher found that job involvement and perceived organizational support have been identified as significant factors that influence organizational commitment among women faculties of engineering colleges.
