INCIDENCE OF THE LIGHTING ANGLE ON OBJECTS IN THE PRODUCTION PROCESS ACCORDING TO THEIR MATERIAL

It is presented an investigation focused on the incidence that light exerts on the objects to be captured by means of images or video systems. The importance of the type of illumination is analyzed based on the configuration of the angle of illumination on the object, taking into account that even the same material can vary according to the shape of the object, which can alter the configuration of the illumination. To determine more precisely the discrimination power, quantitative values are extracted from the surface such as the mean and the standard deviation, which are more accurate than using only the object recognition.
