Abstract
“Electronic Participation” i.e. E-Participation extended with E-Voting using social media mobilizes to cast vote in the national general elections of any country. Pakistan is a country with rich and diverse characteristics demographically because of the distinct languages spoken, culture, heritage, political composition, religious sects, and geography etc. The national politics of Pakistan reflects the lobbies of semantic political assemblies. Most of the political parties use social media as a venue to promote election campaigns while approaching every registered individual voter of the country's population. Usually, the rise in usage of social media platform reaches a maximum peak rapidly after the release of the election schedule. This study focuses on social media and its influence on politics especially at the time of national general elections. Social media has created a collective power to influence every matter of life today. The influence of social media on politics and intention for voting among youth using the social web seems crucial and innovative to address novel development in the upcoming election process for the country.
