Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the essence, content, forms, types and mechanisms of implementation of social entrepreneurship, its role and place in the national economy. As a result, the criteria and typology of social entrepreneurship are substantiated as a basis for developing a regulatory and legislative framework and approaches to assessing the performance of social enterprises.
