EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION MECHANISM IN THE FIELD OF DIGITALIZATION

The article presents an original point of view on the operation of the mechanism for protecting intellectual property in the field of digitalization, proceeding from the fact that its main goals are to ensure national security and the economic system's entry into a new technological stage of development. Based on this worldview, we study the work of many links of this unique design that are responsible for the selection of state priorities in the field of digitalization, their resource provision, and the processes of creating and replicating digital technologies. Special attention is paid to the import-oriented model of updating the technological base of the Russian Federation, the delayed management response to the emerging digital revolution in the world economic system, and the volatility of patent activity. The key directions for reducing the time interval between the creation and receipt of tangible benefits from the introduction of advanced technologies that can accelerate the movement of the mechanism for the protection of intellectual property in the field of digitalization along its evolutionary orbit are outlined
