Abstract
The word empowerment, at the very onset suggests the concept of power. Broadly speaking it is a process of gaining freedom and the power to do what an individual wishes to do or to control what happens to you. The empowerment of an individual is now an essential part of the philosophy of the world. The way a women is treated, speaks a lot about that society and country.
