Abstract
Aging, is the last stage in the human life span and influenced by certain changes such as physical, psychological and psychosocial changes. Physical changes include decrease in lean body mass, oral cavity changes, loss of visual & auditory functions, decrease in GIT function, loss of mineral mass and psychological changes include Alzheimer-s disease, stroke and Parkinson while psychosocial changes include dementia, depression and social isolate. For healthy aging, diet should be nutrient dense and rich in antioxidants to improve immune function and ward off degenerative diseases. Laboratory screening is also essential to determine their health status. More studies are needed to determine the impact of different nutrition on changes associated with ageing and improving their overall quality of life.
