Abstract
Corporate Governance is one of the widely searched and researched topics. However there are few studies which explore the concept with reference to the familyowned businesses, especially with the reference to the lesser developed or developing sides of the world. Thus the aim of the study is to gauge the importance of inclusion of female directors in the board of family-owned businesses of Pakistan. Study uses the descriptive methods for analysis as the lacking of studies under this vein are impairing the detailed and in-depth studies. Therefore analysis has been done through SPSS and results indicated that female directors are perceived as the source of gender diversity even in family-owned businesses.
