Abstract
Teams have gained importance in the work place in recent years as team work is considered as an efficient and effective way of carrying out work tasks. In these competitive times, organizations need to focus more on their human resources, their networking relationships and team commitment. This study is focused upon “TeamMember Exchange” from Social Exchange Theory (SET) perspective and studies the impact on affective commitment of team in the presence of voice (speaking out) as a mediator. The data was collected from Higher Educational faculty members and regression analysis was conducted. Findings showed that there is positive relation of TMX with affective team commitment and employee voice partially mediates between TMX and affective team commitment. Hence this study identifies that high quality team commitment can be cultivated in the presence of employee voice which requires effective team members exchange relationships.
