Abstract

High-power light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have begun to differentiate themselves from their more common cousins the indicator LED. Today these LEDs are designed to generate 10?100 lm per LED with efficiencies that surpass incandescent and halogen bulbs. After a summary of the motivation for the development of the high-power LED and a look at the future markets. Light emitting diode (LED) technologies present significant advantages compared to today's lighting solutions. LEDs are favorable in terms of their electrical efficiency, economical value, and environmental impact. The solid state lighting technologies will become the dominant lighting solution within several years, as they steadily improve in color quality, brightness, and cost, and receive support from environmental and political policies.Reducing energy costs and enhancing the night time environment with LED Street lighting is by now well understood. However, few municipalities and utilities have successfully taken advantage of this opportunity to convert their street lighting operations to LEDs. This paper reveals to carry out illumination survey in street lighting in Hutti Gold Mines and finally comparing the field practical data with MATLAB programmed data and to calculate the energy savings over the conventional sources in Hutti Gold Mines.
