Abstract
Based on aerospace surveys, and technologies of geoinformation systems (GIS), it was found that the operation of Khotislav sandpit in Belarus might increase runoff into the Black Sea and reduce water runoff to the Baltic Sea. This will slow down the water exchange in the Shatsk lakes which will intensify the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on the eutrophication of the lakes of the Shats’kyi National Park (ShNP). To monitor this process, we developed and tested geo-information technology of data use of LANDSAT-7 ETM+ for the trophic classification of the ShNP lakes.
