Abstract

=The Flag wall is a type of internal lateral resisting system. In which the RC walls are provided at selected places or floors not reaching to the ground. Flag wall is one of new technique for improve seismic resistance of overall structure. The seismic behavior of high-rise structures is governed largely by the rigidity of their load-resistant lateral systems. The independent solidity of all building elements contributes to the overall system. Several innovative structural methods and technologies for improving the lateral stability and seismic performance of reinforced concrete (RC) high-rise structures have been developed in recent years. One efficient approach to enhance the resistance to lateral motions of high-rise structures is to employ the flag wall system. This research involves analysis of a G+11 floor RCC project by the Static Analysis Equivalent technique in zone-IV structure. The building is on various floors with flag walls. The flag walls will be provided at periphery of selected floors in different cases. Detailed static analysis and comparison is carried out on flag walls for various location in RC frame structure and will finds the local response like Storey displacement, Base shear, Storey drift pattern, Max. nodal displacement with the help of STAAD.pro software. The usage of flag walls as part of a lateral load-resistant system must verify the considerable improvement in structural performance of high elevation structures.
