Environmental Enterprise in Ukraine: Status and Priorities of Development

The main areas that are characterized by high potential for the development of environmental entrepreneurship have been systematized in the article. One of the groups is formed by specialized enterprises engaged in waste management, water purification, alternative energy, ecotransport development, medicine, biotechnology, pharmacy, landscape design and design, etc. The second group is formed by enterprises that produce and implement environmental investments and innovations as compulsory measures in the environmental sphere, as well as profit-oriented measures and the provision of competitive advantages. The direction of environmental entrepreneurship is also complemented by enterprises that are dependent on the use of environmental resources and their state - ecological agriculture, recreation and tourism, production of environmentally friendly products, in particular in the field of food, light industry, construction. Separately, enterprises have been allocated in the field of eco-services, namely, those engaged in ecomanagement, as well as various research activities. The present state and experience of environmental business in Ukraine has been analyzed. The priority areas of environmental business in Ukraine have been identified - water treatment, waste management and alternative energy. In the field of water purification, the prospect of applying technologies of physical methods of water treatment has been indicated. In the field of waste management, the expediency of encouraging combustion for energy purposes has been noted. The necessity of creation of favorable conditions for the possibility of licensing activity on the procurement of secondary metals to entities that are currently in a wrongful plane has been noted. In the field of alternative energy, the situation regarding energy consumption and energy production in Ukraine has been analyzed. It has been stated that one of the most optimal options for targeted stimulation of alternative energy, in particular among households, is the direction of biogas plants. It has been substantiated that the priorities of the development of environmental entrepreneurship should contribute to the establishment of Ukraine on the world stage as an active producer of environmental innovations. Further research will focus on the study of the priorities of the macroeconomic strategy of Ukraine's development towards enhancing the value of environmental entrepreneurship.
