Abstract

The article highlights the problem of creative development of junior school children in the process of artistic and labor activity. The authors consider the use of decorative and applied arts in pedagogical practice as an important means of developing the imagination, fantasy and creative abilities of primary school students. It has been noted that the educational process in the new Ukrainian school should ensure the child's mastery of the knowledge base and simultaneously form the experience of creative activity, arouse aesthetic and cognitive interest, the desire to follow the path of their own development. Ways of artistic and labor development with the help of folk and decorative and applied arts are infinitely diverse. The authors emphasize that there should be a systematic approach to the development of creative abilities of junior schoolchildren by means of folk decorative applied art. This is facilitated by the content of all primary school subjects, as well as extracurricular activities. The article reveals the features of creative development of primary school children in the process of artistic and labor activities at the lessons of labor training. The basis of labor training on the examples of decorative and applied arts is practical work, where much attention is paid to mastering various techniques of manufacturing products and their decoration. It is important that children not only create on the models of folk art, but also know about the origin of this art, the history of folk crafts. Interviews with students, demonstration of manuals, spreadsheets and photographs, presentations and videos should be conducted in such a way as to show all the diversity of folk art, emotionally and convincingly tell about their meaning and aesthetic qualities. We consider the prospects for further research in the disclosure of the practical aspect of the development of creative abilities of junior schoolchildren in the process of artistic and labor activities at the lessons of the educational field "Art".
