Partnership pedagogy: successful school-family interaction

Abstract

The author of the article revealsthe peculiarities of cooperation between school and family. There are specified the essences of partnership, interaction, cooperation and collaboration. The modern researches in the field of philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology allow confirming that the family is the dominant factor and social group that influence on the personality formation. The author emphasized the importance of partnership pedagogy between school and families and substantiated the principles of collaboration: mutual respect, mutual trust, mutual understanding, clear awareness of their role and responsibility in joint interaction, acceptance and respect for her as a person. The author emphasized on the importance not of their parallel existence, but of interpenetration. There are substantiated the pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of such interaction: high culture of communication between parents and teachers, benevolence, impartiality in solving various problems, ensuring the motivation of interaction, relevance and specificity of common tasks. The practical aspect of realization of these conditions is partially illustrated. The article states that the process of improving the school-family cooperation is long-term and continuous. It can be done in different directions: humanization of the content and forms of work with the family; harmonization of relations between teachers and parents; increasing the efficiency of the techniques and means of influence used by the teacher in working with parents, etc.
