The level of professional-subject competencies of future teachers from the perspective of the practitioner teacher

Abstract
The base of teacher´s professionalisation is the competence training of teachers within the frame of practical professional training, which requires considerable attention within the frame of pre-graduate study. Therefore an important role of the Faculties of teaching is the competence development of students of the teaching profession, it means the future teachers. The competences are developed within the preparation of teaching profession, which is of a theoretical and practical character. Practical preparation is realized within the pedagogical practice of students of the teaching profession as a preparation for teaching and everyday life of the school through the practical training that is realized in the universities conditions and in the conditions of training schools. In co-operation with university teachers and individual training teachers the training schools are the co-creator of the concept of pedagogical practice and therefore also of the competence training of students of the teaching profession. Authors have decided to map the level of competences of students of the teaching profession and they present in the contribution the results of research oriented on the opinions of training teachers on the level of professional-subject competences of students of the teaching profession at Pavol Jozef Šafárik Univesity. The results of research pointed out to necessary to develop professional-subject competences of students of the teaching profession, that these competences show to the maximum extent during the using scientific knowledge from the science of the relevant subject and scientific knowledge of related science, which are necessity in pedagogical practice.
