Abstract

Analysis of the level of formation of the professional image of future foreign languages teachers (value and motivation criterion)The professional image of the future foreign languages teacher is a complex and multidimensional concept. The problem of professional image formation is insufficiently covered in research papers. This scientific issue is particularly important at the time of the formation of the New Ukrainian School and the implementation of the appropriate professional training of a new generation teacher. The author demonstrates the importance of motivation in the process of formation of the professional image of future foreign languages teacher. The article contains a description of current ukrainian and foreign sources. The author aims to find out the level of formation of the professional image of future foreign languages teachers in the context of the value and motivational criterion. Such a study is conducted for the first time. For this purpose, the indicators of this criterion are defined, the diagnostic toolkit is described in detail. Since the study presents the results of a diagnostic study of the formation of professional image, the methodological framework includes methods of surveys, questionnaires and the analysis of the results. It is summarized that the students's idea of the professional image is spontaneously formed; students have elements of image thinking: understanding the need to develop self-presentation skills, self-confidence; students are ready to perceive knowledge that promotes the acquisition of skills and abilities for the development of individual and professional qualities; the present level of formation of the professional image of future teachers of foreign languages does not meet the modern requirements of successful professional self-realization. The results of the research in the article are important for solving the research problem, because they cover the real level of formation of the professional image of students – future foreign language teachers, which allows to see prospects and correct further scientific and practical research. The obtained results extend the possibilities of improving modern approaches to teaching disciplines of the professional cycle in order to form the necessary competences in higher education students.
