The detailed study of the internal environment of HEE aims to determine a real level of its competitiveness in the result of matching the relevant factors of the external and internal environment. It is here that we need to get an answer to the question of what should be done for the activity of HEE to be fully adapted to the dynamic development of the environment. The SWOT-analysis is a universal method for studying the internal environment of HEE it also gives the information to the administration which is needed to be selected as a strategy. PEST analysis is a tool designed to identify aspects of the environment that can affect the strategy of HEE. Originality. SWOT-analysis is done and PEST-analysis for a particular HEE and strategic conclusions are made. Conclusion. The effectiveness of the functioning of the educational establishment is determined by the perfection of the internal environment, which finds the manifestation in the rationally optimal interaction of all its elements. The ability of the educational establishment to operate successfully is a potential of its activity.
