The authors present partial results of the research on the implementation of the microteaching in the undergraduate training future teachers under the conditions of P. J. Šafárik University in Košice. Microteaching means training, exercising teaching skills using various teaching methods in the conditions of undergraduate training. Microteaching was realized within the framework of the subject of experience pedagogy in the study branch of teaching academic subjects. The authors used the method of microteaching, which was developed and studied for a long time at the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Arts of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The methodology of the microteaching realized according to this structure is used for a long time in the UPJŠ conditions and it was implemented within the scope of the research also in subject experiential pedagogy. The research tool was a questionnaire of its own design, which, in relation to the theoretical basis of microteaching, contained items related to the aspects of microteaching of several authors. The questionnaire items were subjected to factor analysis, the internal consistency according to the Cronbach coefficient α was 0.62. The questionnaire contained 14 items (excluding demographic items). The pedagogical research, from which we chose the part of this study for the time-consuming training of students at the micro-speech, confirmed that the students do not underestimate their training. Microteaching creates space for the acquisition of professional competencies. Students develop their professional-subject, psychodidactic, organizational and self-reflexive competencies. Microteaching and micro-speech are an invaluable technique for acquiring professional competencies, even if they are time-consuming.
