Problem of moral ideal on the pages of clerical and literary periodical "Lystok"

Abstract

The article focuses attention on the method of forming the ideal of moral education in regional periodicals of Transcarpathia on the example of spiritual and literary magazine "Lystok" (1885 - 1903 years). It was found that on the pages of spiritual and literary magazine moral ideal was submitted as a never-ending process of self-improvement and search of personhood, which is attached to some famous historical figure or a legendary hero, the best rice and appeared as an ordinary educated and spiritually rich man. Moral ideal was based on the presentation of something best, which united reality with the prospect of improving their moral and spiritual world. The moral ideal became a guidance for everyday and real image of man. The application was based on the ease of repetition of actions of such an ideal, the attainment of acceptable, but not unattainable, behavioral traits. Thus, in the pedagogical press, the process of self-improvement was interpreted as the optimal moral value, which forms the moral and spiritual rules of life. Moreover, the moral ideal was portrayed not as an independent image, that is beyond the reality, but as a result of the available experience in the real-life circumstances. Detected collective image of the moral ideal, which combined religious and social realities, bringing them together into a coherent system of universal values and norms. The central place among the components of the moral ideal, which is presented in the table of contents of the journal "Lystok", refers the source of moral Christian virtues of the image of the son of God, the Holy, the righteous, earthly life of whom remained perfect. The following component represent the recognized historical figures, cultural and educational, religious figures. A special place is occupied by the heroes of literature. The formation of moral values in the journal through the submission of the perfect image directed human activities in an instructive direction. Close to reality, the bearer of the moral virtues became the author and the reader of periodical, which has formed their spirituality under the influence of contemporary public relations. Such collective portrait of the moral ideal absorbed not only the visual image, but was formed so that the child in the process of exploring it could follow the development of his life – from childhood to adulthood. Knowing the characteristic features of the moral ideal, children and young people empathized with him at different stages of everyday socialization.
