Abstract
The present article has to characterize the current educational scenario in times of pandemic, mainly regarding remote education and the main challenges faced by students of basic education in Brazil. To this end, methodologically, the qualitative approach made possible by the method of bibliographic review was adopted, with its core in the analysis of the websites of institutions that address the object of study on screen. As soon as the COVID-19 Pandemic began, theWorld Health Organization (WHO) established initiatives to curb the spread of the disease caused by the Coronavirus, directing educational activities towards remote education for all students. Throughout the development of this research, those obtained emphasized that remote education, in Brazil, is still very exclusive and contributes to the worsening of educational inequality and the consequent loss of the quality of education. The period of non-face-to-face teaching in these pandemic times has brought enormous challenges to Brazilian education and they are, on the other hand, bringing experiences and legacies that broaden the reflection on the future of the organization of the Basic Education formative proposal. Consequently, this scenario demands the mobilization of deep investments, planning and a careful organization of pedagogical work in Basic Education.
