Abstract
Although fatal cardiac arrest is a known complication of intravenous phenytoin, most practioners are not aware of the toxicity of phenytoin on the conduction system. We present a patient who developed asystolic cardiac arrest during intravenous administration of phenytoin in open cranitomy.
