An Analysis of Awareness Level among Respondents towards Smart Cities and Green Marketing

Abstract
Nowadays all over the world, due to rising poverty and population, failures of infrastructure throughout natural disasters have destroyed many lives and much property. A smart city can use wireless technology to replace with communications infrastructure damaged at such times. The aim of this paper is to check the awareness level about the Smart City project, Green Marketing and to access the sources of awareness. A sample of 1000 respondents was selected through a structured questionnaire from Faridabad and Karnal Smart city of Haryana state. For the analysis of data, percentage and chi-square method is used. Finally the collected data was analyzed subsequently by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)-19.0. The result shows that most of the respondents were aware about the Smart City concept and Green Marketing. Similarly the result shows that the internet, newspapers and television were the effective sources of awareness for Smart City and Green Marketing.
