FEATURES OF CUSTOMS CLEARANCE OF CARS IN UKRAINE: TRENDS AND PROSPECTS

Today, cars have become one of the main aspects of our lives. Recently, car production and sales have increased. Now you can choose a car at any price. In Ukraine, the car industry is at a fairly low level. The main plants for the production of cars — KrAZ, ZAZ, Bogdan and others. However, the Ukrainian car industry cannot satisfy all the demand. Therefore, Ukraine is forced to import cars. Due to the low solvency of Ukrainians, a significant share of the market is occupied by used cars. They are also much cheaper than new ones. However, such savings are expensive for our environment, despite the established environmental standards. The government strongly encourages the import of cars and often provides benefits for customs clearance and registration of certain categories of cars. The legal framework is actively developing. Despite the great demand for the car market, as in general, the coronavirus intervened. It has led to a sharp drop in car production and sales, and quarantine restrictions have made it much more difficult to import, clear customs and register vehicles.
