Abstract
This paper investigates the validity of the LECKNER relationsproposed to calcu-latetheemissivityofmixtureofgascombustionincomparationbyH.HottelandR. J. Tucker method for enclosures with surfaces exposed to signiβicant thermalradiation. The analysis is focused on a speciβic combustion chamber in a three-bed regenerative oxidizer and calculates the coefβicient of absorption and thecorresponding thermal irradiation βlux exchanges among the hot wall surfacesof the chamber. The temperature distribution and the initial composition of thegaseous mixture at the inlet plane were assumed known.
