Abstract

Recently, more emphasis of Ucrainian and foreign scientific community has been placed on the phonetic language level as a basic essence of language system and social communication. The genesis studying of sound substance can't be thorough without linguo-philosophical bases of its functioning. It will be of relevance to revise, scientific and pragmatic rethink the contribution of philosophers, linguists, linguistic scientific traditions (ancient Indian, ancient Chinese, Greek-Latin, Arabic) for development of phonetic theory, and for shaping phonetics as a science about the sound structure of language. Methods and techniques of teaching phonetics during antiquity require modern in-depth analysis. In the history of linguistic teachings there is a thorough analysis of the general linguistics development, but there are few scientific works that combine the historical achievements of linguo-philosophical and linguodidactic facts of the phonetics genesis and its teaching methods.
