Abstract
In the educational process, modern teachers widely use the best cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. Folklore plays an important role in shaping the world outlook of the younger generation. Achievements of ethnopedagogy contribute to labor, national, family and aesthetic education.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the educational content of the XIX century Christmas carols and to suggest ways of its creative use in the educational process by modern educational institutions.
