Abstract
This article reveals the problem of codependency, which is one of the most urgent and in demand today. Its importance is due to the fact that, on the one hand, codependent relationships interfere with a full-fledged human life, and, on the other hand, in the long run create prerequisites for the development of more severe forms of dependence. Based on the analysis, the authors come to the conclusion that the emergence of codependent behavior is primarily due to the family and the immediate environment in which children grow and develop; therefore, parenting models have a primary influence on the formation of codependent behavior of a person.
