Sociocultural and institutional aspects of the development of Donbass

Following the historical analysis of various aspects of the development of Donbass, the article concluded that one of its main advantages, formed over many decades, is a special cultural and institutional environment that promotes industrialization and the development of industrial production. Based on the concept of polycausality, as well as taking into account the dependence on past development, it is proved that the key to the successful development of Donbass is a strategic orientation towards Russia due to civilizational factors, while simultaneously implementing a course to build an industrialized democratic, multinational society based on multi-layered export-oriented economy of an innovative type.
