Abstract

The current state of the professional education system renovation requires a theoretical reflection on professional training at Higher Education Institutions and implementing new conceptual approaches to developing the professional activity of future specialists of socionomic specialties. Readiness for professional activity is a complex social phenomenon, which includes a set of individual psychological personality's qualities and a system of professional and pedagogical knowledge, skills, abilities that ensure the success of professional and pedagogical functions. It is the basis of competence. The aim of the article is to define and theoretically comprehend the issues of shaping the readiness of future specialists of socionomic specialties in the context of the competence paradigm of modern education development. The competence paradigm is the priority to education orientation on the results: the building future specialist's general cultural and professional competence, self-determination, socialization, development of individuality and self-actualization. The concept orients the education system to ensure quality training under the needs of modern society. They are consistent with both the individual's need to integrate into social activities and the society need to use the individual's potential.
